At this month’s meeting, she talked more generally about the link – often the vicious circle – between tinnitus and depression/anxiety, and how gender differences and personality factors can influence treatment outcomes. Eliza has wide clinical experience of working with tinnitus patients both here in the UK and abroad, and she was able to relate the theory of her talk to real-life tinnitus situations that everyone could relate to.
It was a fascinating talk, expertly delivered, and pitched at exactly the right level for our group. It gave us a lot to think about. And there was also some welcome advice about using the internet cautiously when researching information about tinnitus.
Our thanks to Eliza for coming to speak to us a second time. Dr Tucker can be contacted by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 07704 121096.
As usual Lynn brought loads of mince pies for the group, were which quickly scoffed (mostly by me) during the refreshment break. Many thanks, Lynn.
