Norman, aged 70, completes RideLondon and raises £1030 for BTA
Norman not only completed The RideLondon 100 mile cycling sportive but he absolutely smashed it with a ride time of 5hr 49min averaging 17.3mph. And thanks to everybody’s generosity he also smashed his fundraising target with a whopping £1030 raised for The British Tinnitus Association plus an extra 25% Gift Aid on most of that.
Norman said: “The day was amazing riding 100 miles on closed roads with the challenge of those Surrey hills and that magical finish down the Mall but most of all I am very pleased to have raised some money for the good work that BTA support and do.”
Back in May, we reported on Norman Hand's preparations for this year’s RideLondon charity event. Norman, who is the husband of our membership secretary Cindy, was cycling in aid of the British Tinnitus Association. We are pleased to bring you this welcome update from our roving reporter Cindy:
